Students thoroughly enjoyed our Potato Olympics! Throughout the week, they trained and cared for their potato athletes, gave them names, and selected countries for them to represent. The excitement built as the competition began, with events including ski jump, equestrian, shot put, diving, and many more.
While there was plenty of laughter and fun, the activities also provided rich opportunities for mathematical learning. Students measured distances, compared results, recorded data, and practised applying mathematical concepts in a hands-on and engaging way. It was wonderful to see their creativity, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship on display as they cheered on their potato competitors and celebrated each other's successes. 🌟🥔🏅

The skills our students have been developing in planning, preparation, and food styling were proudly showcased this morning as they hosted a special morning tea for a small group of our valued school volunteers.
Throughout the term, students have been learning about teamwork, time management, sustainability, and food safety/hygiene. Today provided an authentic opportunity to apply these skills in a real-world context—and they rose to the challenge, demonstrating initiative, collaboration, and professionalism. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the outstanding results they achieved.
We extend our sincere thanks to all the volunteers who generously support our staff and students. Your contributions make a meaningful difference to our school community every day. While we were unable to invite everyone, please know that your time, care, and commitment are deeply appreciated.
