Update from the Campus Principal

Dear Parents,

As we conclude the second week of Term 3, I would like to thank our students, staff and families for contributing to what has been a positive and purposeful start to the term. It has been encouraging to see students return settled, engaged and ready to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.

A particular highlight over the past fortnight has been our Parent-Teacher-Student Interviews. Thank you to the many families who took the time to engage so meaningfully in these conversations. The quality of the discussions reinforced the strength of the partnership between home and school, with a shared commitment to supporting every student to achieve their personal best.

It has also been wonderful to see the enthusiasm surrounding subject selection for our senior students. These decisions are significant milestones in each student's educational journey, and we greatly value the thoughtful engagement of parents throughout this process. Working together ensures that students are well supported as they make informed decisions about their future pathways.

Looking ahead, our senior students will soon commence their HSC Trial Examinations, an important step in preparing for the conclusion of their secondary schooling. To further support our Year 12 families, we encourage parents to join this Thursday afternoon's Parent Webinar, where Mrs Brookes will discuss strategies for navigating the final stages of HSC preparation. Our Parent Canvas Training sessions also continue, providing families with practical tools to remain actively engaged in their child's learning journey.

We are also looking forward to AI Unlocked on Friday of Week 4, where our Secondary students will explore the rapidly evolving role of Artificial Intelligence in education. This promises to be an exciting day of learning and discovery as students develop their understanding of emerging technologies and their responsible application. Our Year 12 students will participate in this experience following the completion of their HSC Trial Examinations on 27 August.

Our Primary students also have much to look forward to over the coming weeks. We are excited for the annual Book Week Parade in Week 5, always a wonderful celebration of reading, imagination and creativity. We are also putting the final arrangements in place for the Primary excursion to Sydney Zoo in September and will communicate further details to families over the coming days.

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support and partnership. Together, we continue to create an environment where every student is known, supported and challenged to thrive. We look forward to another exciting fortnight ahead.

Warm regards,

Jump Rope For Heart

Jump Rope for Heart continues to provide students with a valuable opportunity to develop healthy habits while supporting an important cause. Through skipping and fundraising, students are helping the Heart Foundation raise awareness and funds for heart health research, education, and support programs.

OneSchool Global - Sydney Heart Heroes are currently the 3rd highest fundraising school in Australia for the Jump Rope for Heart Program 2026;

  • 59 Students registered
  • $19,403 Raised
  • 33 Hours of skipping logged

Remember, when students sign up for Jump Rope for Heart, they become Heart Heroes – everyday superheroes who are leading the way in the fight against heart disease!

The conclusion of Jump Rope for Heart will take place on Tuesday 1st September where students will 'Jump Off' against their peers. The student who is able to skip for the longest period of time will be the 'Jump Off' winner.

We are incredibly proud of the generosity and enthusiasm shown by our Sydney Campus community.

We look forward to seeing students continue to embrace this initiative, stay active, and contribute to this worthy cause throughout the year.

There is still time to be apart of Jump Rope for Heart, so sign up, fundraise and keep on skipping!
