IXL Challenge Success

Congratulations to all students for an outstanding effort in our friendly IXL challenge against Bendigo.
Across just two weeks in February, students completed an impressive 8,980 questions.

This strong start shows that commitment to small, regular practice makes a big difference. For March, our goal is to continue:

Including IXL in weekly planners

Completing recommended tasks aligned with MAP pinpointed pathways

Adding some consolidation work at home where possible

Thank you to all students for your growing engagement across year groups.

Secondary Tutorials on the Rise

Our secondary students have shown wonderful growth in their independent learning habits, completing 24 tutorials as a group in February. This is a clear sign of students taking ownership of their progress, well done!

NAPLAN Next Week

A reminder that NAPLAN takes place Wednesday to Friday next week.
Please ensure students arrive on time, are well rested, and have charged devices each morning.

Well, done to Alsa, Fleur, Harcourt and Kenzie in primary on reaching bronze in the house points. What an excellent effort.

Athletic sports are coming up soon March 27th and we are looking for volunteers to help on the day. It's great to see students practicing their skills every week.

We are preparing for parent conversations the day before the athletics sports to discuss student progress and areas they need support. I will be available on that day too.

What a fantastic start to the year!

Last week we attended our first library session for the year. We are very thankful to the mums who have spent countless hours volunteering their time to get everything up and running. The space looks amazing, and the students absolutely loved it.

The students have also begun their cross‑curricular unit on Parliament. They explored what it might be like to live in a mini‑society without rules or leaders and enjoyed acting out the different scenarios this created.

Reminder that we have sports uniform on Monday and Tuesday and Library on Friday so please wear the correct uniform and bring in your library books and bags on a Friday.

In French class this week, students learnt about "fête et traditions" in the French speaking world and especially le Carnaval de Bâle in Switzerland.

The carnival is a colourful winter festival held before the start of Lent. It is a time for fun, costumes, and music, when people celebrate together to say goodbye to winter and welcome the coming of spring.

To get in the spirit of the Carnival, students chose a mask and worked cooperatively with their peers to produce a parade!

Some fun in the sun this week for the primary students.

Fun in the playground, ball games, basketball, badminton, fairy garden and hanging around.

On Friday 6 March, year 10s from across Victoria went to Eastern Beach in Geelong to undertake fieldwork for their Geography Assignment on Environmental Change and Management.

This Assignment requires students to identify an environmental challenge at a given location, undertake their own primary data collection and write up a field report with suggestions on how to manage the issue.

This is designed to mirror the real life work of Geographers around the world. We also get students to undertake an observational walk of the site and complete a field sketch of the location as additional evidence gathering.

A great day was had by all students who appreciated getting out of the classroom to apply their learning.

At OneSchool Global AU, all Year 10 students complete the Certificate III in Business as part of their curriculum. This qualification equips students with practical skills in administration, communication, and workplace technology - essential tools for success in senior study, part-time work, and future careers.

Completing the Certificate III in Business helps students develop confidence, organisation, and a professional mindset. It provides a real-world context for learning and gives every student a head start in understanding the business world.

We are proud to offer this program as a core part of Year 10, ensuring all students gain these valuable skills and are prepared for the next stage of their education and beyond. Students who complete all requirements will be awarded the national qualification - Certificate III in Business. Students who are only able to complete part of the qualification will still receive a statement of attainment, providing credit for the units they do achieve.

Your encouragement at home can make a real difference. We encourage parents to support their young person by discussing their learning, celebrating achievements, and encouraging them to apply the skills they are developing. Together, we can help every student succeed and make the most of this valuable qualification.

Year 12 jackets finally arrived last week. Saxon, Ryder & Oliver were very happy to see them. They look smart!

It was a very early start to the day but students had a good day catching up with their ZOOM teachers and students from other campuses.
