As we begin these school holidays, I am reflecting on how fortunate we are at OSG Mt Victoria to have such a supportive community and staff team. Term 2 demonstrated how our volunteers stepped up for reading groups, exam support, driving to excursions, serving students and staff in canteen, and joining the safeguarding training webinar. Our staff regularly stepped up with covering duties and lessons, reporting hazards, writing Assignments, and being supportive of one another through report-writing. I am thankful for the dedication of all, despite challenges that are thrown our way - such as the additional commute times due to the closure of the Mt Victoria Pass.
Term 2 was a good demonstration of our students' focus on their learning and growth. We maintained excellent ratio of Tutorials. All of our students from 3-12 took assessments seriously, with learning conversations regularly taking place. Our 7-12 students engaged with the Peer Coaching program. Students in 7-12 used advice to prepare for examinations. Our SLT worked closely with Condo's SLT to create an excellent and memorable Activity Day.
We will continue to strive for excellence using feedback from all stakeholders in Term 3. I hope you all have a well-rested and safe break. We look forward to welcoming our students back to school on Tuesday 21 July.
