Congratulations to all of our Year 7 and 9 students on the successful completion of their recent NAPLAN assessments. Despite wide-scale technical disruptions impacting thousands of schools Australia-wide on the first day of testing, our students remained calm, composed, and maintained a positive outlook. Well done for approaching each test with focus and resilience; we are very proud of the effort each of you demonstrated. Thank you to our teachers and support staff for ensuring a calm and supportive testing environment throughout a busy week.
Well done, and thank you to our Year 8 Food Tech students and Mr Stanley for bringing the campus together for a delicious BBQ lunch. This occasion not only helped these students work towards completion of their “safe knife skills” summative assessment, but also gave our staff and students a chance to celebrate the completion of NAPLAN and come together to enjoy a meal in the absence of the school canteen. Thank you to all of our volunteers who assisted and supported on this day.
Our BBQ also served a second purpose: to celebrate the positive achievement and growth results demonstrated by students in the recent fall MAP testing cycle. We would also like to thank the parents who joined us for the MAP Matters Parent Webinar on Friday. For those of you who were unable to join, a recording will be made available. It was wonderful to see such strong engagement and interest in understanding how MAP assessments support student growth and learning. Please feel free to discuss your student’s MAP results with their classroom teachers during Parent–Teacher Interviews, or reach out to a member of the campus leadership team. Your partnership plays a vital role in supporting all of our students to succeed.

These interviews provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, strengths, and next learning steps. We strongly encourage all families to attend and continue our positive home–school partnership.
Please note that Thursday 26th will be a Pupil Free Day to allow teachers to fully engage in interviews and professional collaboration.
Our annual Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday 27th in Tamworth. This is always a highlight of the school calendar, celebrating participation, sportsmanship, and school spirit. We wish all students the best of luck and look forward to a fantastic day of competition and teamwork.
