It was a very well participated event and apologies for anyone who tried to talk to me; not sure what was wrong with audio at my end. If you have any questions about the presentation, please reach out.

World of Maths

On Wednesday, Primary students enjoyed a visit from World of Maths.

Our host, Soo Chen Low, was very engaging and introduced students to some useful strategies for solving unusual problems. We learnt that it's important to look for a solution that is possible, easy and different, and that working with peers helps us to generate new possibilities for solutions, especially when we listen to everyone's ideas - no matter how crazy! Students worked through hands-on puzzles and problems from building chicken pens to racing monkeys to playing a physical version of Tetris!

Our OSG Goulburn students showed fantastic perseverance and engagement and left a positive impression on our host. We are already looking forward to our next World of Maths day!

Mrs Martina Edwards

On the 17th of June, Soo Chen Low from World of Maths, came to OSG Goulburn. Primary Students spent 75 minutes for each class trying to figure out the answer to many different puzzles. We were using 100% brain power. Soo Chen also taught us the three C’s of thinking. These are Critical, Creative and Collaborative thinking. Everyone had a lot of fun, and every student learnt at least one thing, but mostly more.
