Update from the Campus Principal

Dear OSG Bairnsdale families,

As we move into the second half of Term 1, it has been encouraging to see our students continuing to build positive habits and take increasing ownership of their learning. Classrooms remain calm and our routines are supporting students to stay focused, organised, and confident in their progress.

Using insights from MAP testing and learning checkpoints, students have been able to set goals and recognise areas of growth to celebrate. With NAPLAN just around the corner, this is also an opportunity for students to further refine their skills, sharpen their focus, and continue building confidence in their learning.

Our Student Leadership Team are running our school assemblies each Monday, and it has been great to see them contribute to a positive start to each week for us all. The SLT are working to ensure that our end‑of‑term fundraising event is going to be both meaningful and enjoyable for all. Their enthusiasm continues to impress us.

The Year 12 Legacy Project is off to a great start with Harry bringing some fun for students and staff with a Lego guessing game and prizes. We look forward to what is still to come.

It has been a pleasure to see families on campus and engaging with us throughout the term so far. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you would like to discuss your child’s learning or wellbeing. Our team is here to support you.

Wishing everyone a positive week ahead.

Kind Regards,

Mr Brett Maxwell

Primary Art

Primary students have been busy in the Art room learning all about Indigenous Art.

We have some of their work on display in reception so please come in and have a look.

Primary LOTE

In French class this week, students learnt about "fête et traditions" in the French speaking world and especially le Carnaval de Bâle in Switzerland. The carnival is a colourful winter festival held before the start of Lent. It is a time for fun, costumes, and music, when people celebrate together to say goodbye to winter and welcome the coming of spring. To get in the spirit of the Carnival, students chose a mask and worked cooperatively with their peers to produce a parade! See picture below!

Au revoir!

Certificate III in Business: A Key Part of Year 10 at OSG

At OneSchool Global AU, all Year 10 students complete the Certificate III in Business as part of their curriculum. This qualification equips students with practical skills in administration, communication, and workplace technology - essential tools for success in senior study, part-time work, and future careers.

Completing the Certificate III in Business helps students develop confidence, organisation, and a professional mindset. It provides a real-world context for learning and gives every student a head start in understanding the business world.

We are proud to offer this program as a core part of Year 10, ensuring all students gain these valuable skills and are prepared for the next stage of their education and beyond. Students who complete all requirements will be awarded the national qualification - Certificate III in Business. Students who are only able to complete part of the qualification will still receive a statement of attainment, providing credit for the units they do achieve.

Your encouragement at home can make a real difference. We encourage parents to support their young person by discussing their learning, celebrating achievements, and encouraging them to apply the skills they are developing. Together, we can help every student succeed and make the most of this valuable qualification.
