At OneSchool Global Armidale, we celebrate students who embody the qualities of our student persona. Each time a student demonstrates these admirable traits, they receive a Persona ticket acknowledging their efforts, and a positive persona house point is awarded.

It has been another exciting and productive fortnight in Primary, with students enthusiastically engaging in a range of sporting, creative, scientific and technological learning experiences.

Students are thoroughly enjoying their tennis lessons. They have been developing their fundamental movement skills, learning correct racquet techniques, and practising serving, rallying and ball control. It has been wonderful to see students' confidence grow as they challenge themselves, demonstrate resilience and work cooperatively with their peers.

In Visual Arts, students have begun exploring the fascinating world of printmaking. Through experimenting with a variety of techniques, they will be learning how artists create repeated images, patterns and textures. Students have shown great creativity and attention to detail as they plan and design their own unique prints.

Science lessons have seen students following the Engineering Design Process to investigate how they can support bee populations and promote sustainability. They have begun researching the importance of bees within ecosystems before designing and creating either a bee hotel or a bee-inspired product aimed at helping bees thrive. Throughout the project, students will identify problems, develop solutions, test ideas and refine their designs while considering environmental impacts and sustainable practices.

In Technology, students have been highly engaged in designing and constructing their own automata. They have been exploring mechanical systems and discovering how cams, levers and moving parts can be combined to create motion. Students are working on demonstrated creativity, problem-solving skills and perseverance as they work through the design and production process to bring their moving creations to life. It has been wonderful to see students apply their knowledge and begin to adapt their designs to overcome challenges along the way.

Mr Crisp visited the Armidale Campus this week and conducted several engaging science practicals with our students. Thank you, Mr Crisp, for sharing your passion for science and providing valuable hands-on learning experiences that encouraged students to explore, investigate, and discover. We greatly appreciate your visit and look forward to the next opportunity to welcome you back to our campus.

This week, our Food Technology and Mandatory Technology - Food students have been making great use of the campus's new facilities, creating a range of delicious dishes while developing their practical cooking skills. Year 7 prepared apple and custard pies, Year 8 assembled bento boxes featuring tzatziki, fresh cucumber and M&M cookies, while Stage 5 students cooked Korean-inspired glazed lamb koftas.

It has been wonderful to see students confidently using the new Food Technology facilities and producing such impressive results. The staff thoroughly enjoyed sampling the leftovers, which were a testament to the students' hard work and growing culinary skills. Well done to all students on their creativity, teamwork and enthusiasm in the kitchen

Today, students in Years 7-11 took part in AI Unlocked Day , an exciting opportunity to explore the world of Artificial Intelligence and develop their understanding of this rapidly evolving technology. Throughout the day, students completed a range of learning modules and creative challenges, showcasing their knowledge through portfolios, presentations, videos, flyers, and homeroom activities.

Students demonstrated creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking as they investigated how AI is used in everyday life and considered its future possibilities. The day concluded with campuses selecting outstanding submissions to progress to the regional competition. Congratulations to all students for their enthusiasm, innovation, and willingness to embrace new learning opportunities.

OSG Armidale Campus is inviting community members to spend a rostered day on campus to support the Campus Community Support (CCS) program. We warmly invite members of our wider community to get involved — including grandparents, uncles, aunts and other family members — in addition to parents.

The role of the CCS is to provide a positive influence for the campus and to support school staff in view of them maintaining and upholding the ethos and values of the community. An important part of the CCS role is to be seen but not interfering, on the alert and helpful to the staff and students at all times.

Community Campus Support (CCS) personnel must complete the Volunteer Induction including a valid Working with Children Check.

Once Flexischools goes live on Monday, 17 August 2026 , parents and carers can use the platform to place canteen orders and make payments online. This transition will help reduce reliance on cash while providing a more streamlined and secure canteen experience for families.

We are pleased to share with parents and families, the launch of OSG's Experience the Joy of Teaching campaign, which aims to tell the OSG story and attract great teachers to our campuses across the globe.

The campaign features a television commercial style film that was filmed at our Sydney campus in the April school holidays.

The Experience the Joy of Teaching theme was inspired directly by feedback from OSG teachers, many of whom say that joining OneSchool Global helped them reconnect with what inspired them to become teachers in the first place: focusing on teaching and learning and helping students thrive.

The campaign will be used internationally across digital, social media and other advertising channels to introduce prospective teachers to the opportunities available at OneSchool Global.

More than a recruitment campaign, it is a celebration of the students, families and staff that make OSG such a special place to learn and teach.

The film has been tailored to each region with French, Argentinian-Spanish and German language versions, as well as Australian, New Zealand, British and North American voiceovers. You can view the various international versions of the film here.
