Dear OSG Sydney Parents and Carers,

As we draw the academic year of 2025 to a close, I would like to begin by sincerely thanking all who supported and attended our recent Recognition of Excellence Awards. It was a wonderful celebration of student achievement, and I congratulate all award recipients for the dedication, perseverance and commitment they have shown throughout the year. While we thoroughly enjoyed hosting the event at The King’s School, we are very much looking forward to celebrating future milestones together in our own new, purpose-built OSG Sydney facilities.

Reflecting on the year gone by, 2025 has been one of significant growth and progress for our campus. Across academics, wellbeing, leadership and culture, our students have continued to demonstrate strong learning habits, positive behaviour and a genuine commitment to excellence. We have seen encouraging academic growth, strengthened learning routines across Primary and Secondary, and increased opportunities for student leadership and community connection. These achievements are a credit to the resilience and determination of our students and the unwavering support provided by our staff and families.

Looking ahead, the excitement and anticipation surrounding our move into the new campus in 2026 is palpable. The new facilities will provide outstanding learning environments that support our Learn-to-Learn framework and allow us to further enhance teaching, learning and student wellbeing. This transition marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for OSG Sydney.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to the success of 2025. It has truly been a collective effort — from the School Board, CA Team, Campus Management Team, staff and volunteers, through to the Regional Team — all working together to deliver an academic year that, in years to come, will be recognised as the foundation we laid for future success at OSG Sydney.

On behalf of the entire team, I wish all our students and families a restful and rejuvenating December break. I look forward to welcoming everyone back to our brand-new campus on Wednesday, 29 January, for our first Campus Assembly in the new building.

On Monday, 1 December, our Year 6 students enjoyed a special Graduation Lunch to celebrate the end of their primary years before transitioning into high school. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to reflect on their achievements and look ahead to an exciting new chapter with a speech from two of the SLT members encouraging planning throughout the early years of highschool. A big thank you to our 2026 SLT team for assisting with the event and helping make the day memorable for our students.

On Friday, 28 November, we thanked the teachers and staff for all their hard work and dedication. The SLT got to school bright and early on the pupil-free day to cook, plate and serve the teachers a range of breakfast delights. During the week, the students across primary and highschool signed and wrote in cards to express gratitude towards all the hard work that all our staff complete daily. The breakfast started the day of marking to a good start, with many teachers asking for recipies.

We would like to take this moment to express our deep appreciation to all teachers and support staff for everything they have contributed throughout the year. You are the core part of the cog that keeps our campus moving forward, and we simply wouldn’t be where we are without your dedication, care, and commitment to our students.

It was a lovely way to finish the year together, celebrating the teamwork and spirit that make our campus community so special.

This week we celebrated a highly successful Recognition of Excellence Ceremony, acknowledging the outstanding achievements of our students across academic, cultural and community domains. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the hard work, growth and dedication shown throughout the year, and to recognise those who continually strive for excellence.

Thank you to all families, staff and students who contributed to making the event so special. It was a meaningful occasion for our campus community and a fitting way to conclude the year.

As the 2025 school year comes to a close, we’re already excited about moving into our new campus in 2026. Construction of the new build has progressed well and remains on track for completion early in the new year. We’ll start our new chapter together after returning from the summer holidays.

On the first day of the new school year (Thursday 29 January), parents are invited to join our welcome assembly, tours and morning tea. We look forward to welcoming you to the campus and showcasing our incredible new facilities. Please note the timings below:

8:20am to 8:40am – Arrival for students.

8:40am to 8:55am – Homeroom for students.

8:55am to 9:15am – Students and parents to assemble in hall.

9:15am to 10am – Whole school assembly in the new multipurpose hall.

10am to 11am – Campus tours and morning tea.

Student handbook now available

To help make the transition safe and seamless for our students, we have developed a useful student handbook as a go-to reference for the new building. The handbook includes maps of the new spaces, an overview of our week one orientation activities and an FAQ section to address the common queries we received in the recent student survey.

A digital copy of the handbook, along with other important information about the new campus transition can be viewed on a dedicated website we have built – sydney.oneschoolglobal.com. We recommend you save this link to your browser favourites for easy reference. Printed copies of the handbook will also be issued to students on the first day of the new school year, ensuring they can easily navigate their new surroundings.

Official welcome event for parents and families

Our official welcome event for parents and families will take place on Wednesday 25 February. The event will give us a chance to showcase our new facilities and celebrate this significant milestone in our history.
