Regional Principal Report
Welcome back to all our families and staff across OneSchool Global Victoria and Tasmania. I hope you each had a relaxing and rejuvenating break, finding time to recharge for what promises to be an incredibly productive and fast-paced term.
It has been wonderful to see the energy returning to our campuses as students reconnect with their peers and staff and dive back into their self-directed learning and new assignments.
A special thank you to our Year 7 parents who joined us for the OSGAware webinar on Tuesday night; your engagement is vital as your children navigate this important initiative.
I want to extend a massive thank you and a heartfelt "well done" to our students for the ANZAC Day assemblies held on Day 1. The respect, maturity, and solemnity you displayed in honouring those who served was truly commendable; it was a proud start to the term.
As we settle into the coming weeks, please take a moment to revisit the letters sent by your Campus Principals during the first few days, and remember to access OnePortal regularly for the latest updates and resources.
As the colder weather sets in this term a quick reminder regarding uniform expectations: maintaining a high standard of dress reflects the pride we take in our community, so let’s ensure we are all meeting those requirements every day.
I also ask that all families discuss their high expectations of their child whilst traveling in the buses. Most do the right thing every morning and afternoon, however I do at times hear of situations and behaviours that are less than acceptable. This may place the safety of everyone on the bus at risk.
Looking ahead, we have much to celebrate, including welcoming our mums onto campus for Mother’s Day and the much-anticipated Mission Nutrition day.
It has been a busy start for me as well; I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Bairnsdale in Week 1. This week I have visited Melton and Hamilton and I attended Bendigo campus on Thursday for OSG Aware. Next week, I will be visiting Tasmania Campuses.
I look forward to catching up with many of you on the ground as we kick off a successful Term 2 together!

Campus Principal Report
It was wonderful to see such an amazing turnout for our Mother’s Day celebrations, with so many mums and grandparents joining us on campus. The atmosphere was warm and joyful, and the introduction of the photo booth added an extra layer of fun and connection for our families, thank you to everyone who made the morning so special for such important people in the students' lives. Students and staff have shared their excitement of being back, mostly rested and catching up with each other.
On Thursday, students from Years 7, 9 and 11 participated in OSG Aware in Bendigo. This was a valuable experience, and we thank our drivers, Rachelle and Tirzah, and the Bendigo campus for hosting and supporting the day. We also hope parents found the recent information sessions for Primary and Year 7 both informative and helpful as we partner together to support student learning and wellbeing.
A brief reminder to students and parents about our IT and Email Policy. To keep our digital environment safe and respectful, school email accounts must be used for school purposes only. This means not non‑school emails, no sending inappropriate memes or photos, and using respectful language at all times. Following these expectations is a shared responsibility, and we appreciate families working alongside us to reinforce this at home.
Our campus focus continues to be on supporting students to plan ahead, seek support by booking tutorials, and strive for academic success. With exams approaching, it has been encouraging to see students setting clear subject targets for themselves and preparing with purpose. We have also reminded students about school pride and respect for our environment, particularly the importance of returning sporting equipment after use. Our weekly Pulse checks also reflect how we are all tracking as gives important feedback.
We are also pleased to introduce a new VCE mentoring initiative, where agreed community members are checking in with our VCE students to discuss how they are tracking towards their individual subject targets and goals. This added layer of encouragement, accountability and real‑world perspective is already strengthening student motivation and focus as exams approach. We sincerely thank Sam Joyce, Keith Chirnside, Jayden Sobey, Stuart Murray and Greg McCalman for generously giving their time to support our students in this important way.
It has been fantastic to see our Primary students embracing the Monday running challenge, an exceptional effort, especially from Almanzo, who has shown great determination and enthusiasm. Thankyou Jordan and Ancah for your support.
Our RCH fundraising efforts were once again incredibly generous, with the Swan Hill campus raising $8,400, contributing to an overall total just shy of the $100,000 goal across all campuses. Thank you to our community for your continued generosity. Building on this momentum, the Student Leadership Team has launched a new year‑level challenge where groups take charge of a fundraiser of their choice each week, whether through sports competitions, special foods, or luncheons. We look forward to seeing their creativity and leadership in action.
As per last terms newsletter, students are not to have delivered food/ takeaway at school on any days of the week. This was confirmed by other campuses. Thankyou for your understanding.
Finally, a reminder about wearing correct school uniform, including approved school belts and pants, particularly for our boys. Your support in maintaining consistent standards is appreciated and reinforces our shared expectations.
