As we move toward the end of term, I want to acknowledge the collective efforts, resilience and community spirit that continue to shine across our Swan Hill campus. We wish Mr Nathan Joyce a speedy recovery now his football days are in retirement. Two weeks left until a deserved break for all.

NAPLAN Completed – The OSG Way

This week we successfully completed NAPLAN. While the administration process presented a number of challenges, it once again highlighted the resilience, flexibility and problem‑solving that define our staff and students. Thank you to everyone involved for demonstrating the OSG way, your teamwork ensured our students had every opportunity to succeed.

Krispy Kreme Fundraiser Success

Our Krispy Kreme fundraiser was met with overwhelming support, with an incredible 71 dozen doughnuts ordered by our wonderful families and community. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Miles for once again volunteering to travel to Melbourne to collect the order. Your commitment continues to make a huge difference.

RCH Fundraiser – Car Wash Appointments Filling Fast

Bookings for our Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal Car Wash on the last day of term are filling quickly. It’s shaping up to be another exciting finish to the term, with students and staff ready to roll up their sleeves for a fantastic cause.

Upcoming Athletics Sports – Volunteers Needed

A huge thank you to Mrs Evans and Mr Graham for their organisation and preparation for this year’s Athletics Sports, to be held on Wednesday, March 27th at the Swan Hill campus.

We are seeking Swan Hill supporters and helpers for both the 6:00am setup and throughout the day.
The event will run from 9:00am to 2:00pm, with students from Hamilton, Nathalia and Bendigo joining us for what promises to be a vibrant and competitive day of sport.

Primary PE - Athletics Unit.

Our Primary students have just completed their preparations for this year's Athletics Carnival. We managed to get through all the events that they will compete in. Students have practiced everything from crouch starts in the sprints to correct technique for Shot Put.

Primary Lunchtime Sports Competition - Indoor Soccer.

The Mustangs played the Lions in the semi-final last Monday 16th March. The Lions were victorious and will move through to the grand final to be played at lunchtime on Monday 23rd March.

Secondary Lunchtime Sports Competition - Indoor Soccer.

The Mustangs will play the Bears in the semi-final on Thursday 19th March.

The Lions have already qualified for the grand final by finishing top of the ladder.

A message from the SLT

Over the last couple of weeks Swan Hill campus has continued with the lunchtime competition. Congrats to the Lions for making it through to the final in the Futsal Competition, the semi-final is being held today in sport. The grand final is scheduled to be played on Tuesday 24th of March.

We would like to thank all who ordered Krispy Kremes, we reached our target of 50 with 71 dozen being ordered meaning we receive 10 dozen extra all for free. Orders should arrive Monday 30th of March. Thanks again to those who ordered.

Next Friday, Swan Hill Campus is hosting the Athletics Carnival with Bendigo and Nathalia, we would like to give a massive thank you to parents and community members who have committed to being of assistance on the day whether its cooking, transporting, or supervise the events.

Our end of term plans are being finalised, don’t forget to order your car wash, coffee, and donut before the cut off. We hope to see everyone on the day.

The SLT Krispy Kreme Fundraiser has closed. What an amazing effort. Over 71 dozen donuts ordered, that's 852 donuts!

Orders will be picked up next weekend Sunday from Melbourne and

will be ready for collection on Monday 30th March from the campus from 9am.

The 2026 RCH Fundraiser Car Wash will be held Thursday 2nd April commencing at 11am.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

Dear Parents,

Parent/Teacher Interviews are an important opportunity for parents, students, and teachers to discuss progress and next steps in learning.

All bookings will be made through the Parent Portal in Sentral. Instructions are included in this letter.

We strongly encourage all parents to book an interview to support their child’s learning progress. This is especially important for students in Years 3, 7, and 12, and interviews are expected for all students in Years 3–12. We would love to see you in person on Campus as these conversations are essential for building strong partnerships between home and school. If your unable to attend in person there will be an option to join via Zoom.

All students are expected to attend their interviews alongside their parents. These meetings provide an important opportunity for students to reflect on their progress and engage in the conversation about their learning goals.

Interview Options

Wednesday 25 March:
• Face-to-Face, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Thursday 26 March:
• Secondary (Zoom only), 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Primary (Face-to-Face or Zoom), 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Key Information
• Interviews are 10 minutes, and availability may be limited.
• Please book via the Parent Portal on Sentral.
• Bookings will be open from Monday, 16th March and will close on Monday, 23rd March at 4.00 pm.
• Thursday 26 March is a pupil-free day to allow families to attend scheduled interviews.
• If you have multiple children with the same teacher, please book separate appointments for each child.
• If you cannot secure a time or need additional discussion, please contact your campus to arrange an alternative meeting.
• Students are expected to attend interviews and should attend in full school uniform.

Additional Notes

Some interstate teachers may have different availability due to time zones. Part-time staff who don’t work on these days or those on leave will not be available and will not appear in the booking list.

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO BOOK APPOINTMENTS

1. Log into the Sentral Parent Portal

2. Once you have logged in, go to the INTERVIEWS tab on the left-hand side.
(After you have made bookings you can view them under Upcoming Events and the Show More option2)

3. Once you have selected INTERVIEWS you will notice some information relating to the child you have selected.
NOTE: You will have to repeat the same process for each child by clicking on their name on the left-hand side and completing the same steps.

4. Click on SELECT TIMESLOTS

5. You have 10 minutes to complete your bookings

Any times that are shaded out indicate unavailable timeslots You can select Not Attending for a particular teacher.

6. Once you have selected the appropriate timeslot select confirm and continue to book appointments

7. Continue making bookings with remaining teachers and make sure that you CONFIRM APPOINTMENTS

On Friday 27th March, students from Nathalia, Bendigo & Hamilton campuses will be joining Swan Hill campus as part of the Cluster Aths Day.

I have included a draft copy of our Athletics Carnival program for Friday 27th March at Ken Harrison Athletics Track, Swan Hill.

Helpers to set up PRIOR to 8:30am would be much appreciated.

For any students wishing to wear spikes, please refer to the spike length restriction in the photo.

This restriction applies to the Long Jump and Triple Jump events where the runway is synthetic.
