I’m really pleased to share some fantastic news with you.

Ellen Lewis (Perth Primary) and Brooke Schofield (Adelaide Primary) have both been named in the 2026 Educator’s Rising Star list, recognising them as two of Australia’s Top 40 teachers under 35.

This is a wonderful achievement and a reflection of the impact they are having with students and within our campuses. It’s also great to see OneSchool Global recognised more broadly, with our organisation placing in the Top 30 schools nationally.

Please join me in congratulating Ellen and Brooke on this well-deserved recognition. We’re proud to have them as part of our team.

Year 6 students have been exploring creative writing through diary entries inspired by Rabbit, Soldier, Angel, Thief by Katrina Nannestad.

Writing in first-person perspective, students have worked hard to step into the minds of characters, capturing their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a personal and engaging way.

Using figurative language and a range of creative writing techniques, students have produced highly original pieces that reflect both their imagination and their deep understanding of the novel.

It has been wonderful to see how effectively they have brought characters to life while experimenting with expressive language.

Mini History Museum Showcase

Our students recently brought Australian history to life through our optional Mini History Museum project.

Each student created a unique diorama exhibit featuring artefacts, information panels, and personal reflections to educate visitors about significant people, events, and periods from Australia’s past.

The creativity, effort, and historical understanding on display were outstanding, with students exploring topics such as the Gold Rush, bushrangers, and early colonial life. It was wonderful to see students take pride in their work and share their learning with others.

Congratulations to our WA winners: Blythe Fawkes (Year 3) and Jaycie Warnock (Year 6), whose exhibits stood out for their quality, detail, and engagement.

Well done to all students for their fantastic efforts!

Thank you to everyone who has joined the Jump Rope for Heart Fundraising page and been involved in the program!

We have had a great start to this year’s program, with students skipping during Morning Sport and practising their skills at recess, lunch and after school.

We have already raised over $6000 –

an amazing effort, in such a short period of time! Keep up the energy and spirit and happy skipping!

It has been an absolute pleasure to see our Year 7 students exploring composition and watercolour with such enthusiasm and creativity.

I am super impressed with their growing understanding of tonal variation, confident brushstrokes, and the thoughtful way they are beginning to arrange elements within their compositions.

Their willingness to experiment and push themselves has really stood out, and the overall effort across the cohort has been fantastic.

This marks a strong and exciting transition into their first senior-style artworks, and you should all be very proud of what you have achieved so far.

On Friday May 22 Perth campus joined all others across the globe in delivering a full day, high energy learning experience that moved beyond a traditional lesson structure. From the very beginning, there was a clear sense of momentum and excitement.

Across all year groups, engagement was excellent. Students were actively involved, thinking critically, collaborating with peers, and were fully immersed in the experience.

Thank you to all staff who played a key role in bringing the day to life, creating an environment where students could take ownership, explore concepts deeply, and remain energised throughout.

One of the standout moments of the day was the Final Mission. The challenge required students to draw together everything they had learned, working collaboratively under pressure to solve problems and make informed decisions.

Throughout the day, students engaged with nutrition concepts in practical and meaningful ways, through hands-on activities, rich discussions, and the support of our healthy canteen experience.

These opportunities helped strengthen the connection between knowledge and the everyday choices students make about their wellbeing.

We look forward to building on the momentum from this special day, as we continue to support healthy habits and lifelong learning across the whole school.
