The St. Patrick’s Day event was a huge success raising $194.50 for our school!

Corrado, Denzil, Faith and Armani were the people behind this exciting special occasion, and it was amazing to see all of primary participating by wearing green and getting involved!

On the 1st of April the Year 5 and 6 students went on an excursion to WA Parliament House in the city.

It was absolutely a blast! In the lower house, Astarla got to sit in the speaker’s chair and Wyatt got to hold a replica mace!

We also learnt a lot in the upper house. Throughout the parliament tour, we generally figured out that the House of Representatives and Senate are only in Canberra and that our WA Parliament has the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council.

We even learned that there are ghost stories from Parliament House!

Brilliant Botanists in Action !

On Tuesday 25 March, our Year 3 and Year 4 students set off from the OSG Perth campus for an exciting day of hands‑on learning at Kings Park. As part of our Science unit and current English focus on The Trees, students immersed themselves in the Brilliant Botanists program, an incredible opportunity to explore plant life up close in one of Perth’s most iconic natural environments.

The day began with a scenic trip to Kings Park, followed by recess on arrival. Students then split into groups, with Year 3 and Year 4 classes rotating between the educational program and free play in the much‑loved Rio Tinto Naturescape.

Brilliant Botanists Program -

During the one‑hour session, students became botanists for the day as they:

* Dissected seeds to examine their internal structures

* Observed germination and the growth of an embryo into a seedling

* Explored the bushland to identify evidence of plant life cycles

* Investigated a variety of seeds and their unique adaptations

* Discussed photosynthesis and how plants create their own food

* Learnt about the importance of propagating native plants and their role in conservation

This hands-on experience brought classroom learning to life, deepening students’ understanding of plant biology and the beauty of Western Australia’s unique flora.

Naturescape Adventures

When not in their program session, students enjoyed free play in the Rio Tinto Naturescape, a highlight for many! From exploring rope challenges and climbing structures, to wandering through winding bush pathways, building nature cubbies, and spotting wildlife, the children were fully immersed in imaginative outdoor play. Laughter, curiosity, and adventure filled every corner of the space as students reconnected with nature in meaningful, memorable ways.

We are delighted to share that the day ran smoothly, the weather held beautifully, and both staff and students had a wonderful time. The combination of structured science learning and unstructured nature play made this excursion especially valuable and enjoyable.

A huge thank you to the parent helpers who volunteered to support the day, your involvement enriches these experiences for our students.

Choir Shines at Morning Assembly

Our choir students from Years 3 to 6 impressed the school community this week with a beautifully prepared performance at morning assembly.

Over the term, they’ve been working hard on singing with accurate pitch, listening closely to one another, blending their voices, and building strong teamwork.

Even though a single term isn’t long to learn four songs, the students approached every rehearsal with focus and determination, and it truly showed in their performance. Their confidence, musicality, and ability to work together created a warm and uplifting moment for everyone present.

It was wonderful to see how far they’ve come and how proudly they represented themselves on stage.

Music Show & Tell Showcase

Following the choir, our Music Show & Tell brought even more excitement as students shared a wide range of solo and group performances. The showcase featured an inspiring mix of instruments and styles, including keyboard, guitar, didgeridoo, drums, and voice.

Some students performed individually, while others collaborated in small ensembles, each bringing their own personality and creativity to the stage. From carefully rehearsed pieces to brave first-time performances, the afternoon highlighted not only their growing musical skills but also their willingness to express themselves and support one another.

The variety and enthusiasm made it a joyful celebration of the musical talent thriving in our school.

On Friday 20th March, students filled the WA Athletics Stadium with colour, energy, and outstanding house spirit as they took part in a full day of field events, races, and team games under the challenging hot weather.

Despite the heat, competitors demonstrated excellent resilience, pushing through every event with determination and enthusiasm, proudly representing their houses.

The vibrant cheering from the sidelines was boosted by excellent parent support, creating an uplifting atmosphere throughout the carnival.

A sincere thank‑you goes to our dedicated staff, whose hard work and organisation ensured the day ran smoothly and allowed our students to shine both in performance and house pride.

On 22 May, all students at OneSchool Global will take part in Mission Nutrition, a full day wellbeing event delivered across all campuses worldwide.

Mission Nutrition helps students understand how food and hydration support energy, focus, health, and learning.

The day is interactive and age appropriate, with students working through guided activities led by their teachers.

This is not a normal school day.

Students will take part in hands on learning designed to build practical skills they can use at school and at home.

To introduce the event and build excitement, we invite families to watch a short teaser video .

Mission Nutrition is part of OneSchool Global’s focus on student wellbeing and life skills learning.

On Wednesday, we celebrated International Waffle Day in the tastiest way possible!

The school was buzzing with energy as students and staff gathered for a mid-week breakfast treat.

The SLT and ELT served up fresh waffles with an epic array of toppings, from classic syrup and fresh berries to mountain-high whipped cream.

To keep everyone cool, refreshing iced coffees were served alongside the hot treats, making for the perfect breakfast combo.

It was awesome to see the whole school showing up and coming together to make the event such a success.

A massive thank you to all the students and staff who came through to celebrate Waffles.
