Primary spotlight

From the Primary Desk

On Friday, 22nd May, the Perth, Northam and Dalwallinu campuses came together for our first Mission Nutrition Day. The day began with an early bus ride and ended the same way. Throughout the day, students learned about healthy eating habits and how to take better care of their bodies.

It was a great opportunity to connect with students from other campuses, meet new people and build friendships. We hope the lessons learned will have a lasting impact on students’ health and well-being.

On Wednesday, the 27th May, the primary students took part in a simultaneous storytime of Luna Roo alongside the rest of OneSchool Global. This beautiful story highlights the importance of never giving up, even when others doubt your abilities. It delivers a powerful message about resilience, courage, and determination, encouraging students to keep striving when faced with challenges. Luna’s journey captures the spirit of rising to a challenge with heart and grit, as she navigates nerves, difficult opponents, and unexpected hurdles. It is a wonderful celebration of self-belief and perseverance when things get tough.

Primary students have also recently completed their final assessment for the Matter unit in Science. Throughout this unit, they explored how materials can change states and demonstrated their understanding by explaining these processes and linking them to real-world problems. Our next area of focus will be Geography, where students will investigate our Big Question: How does Australia fit into the puzzle of the world?

We are pleased to announce the winner of the competition was Northam, which was created by Zakira & Kiashton Draffin.

The Judges thought the entry was outstanding and went above and beyond and had some really great messages.

Staff Recognition Award

Mrs Meena Allen received the April 2026 Staff Recognition award at the recent Regional Assembly.

Meena demonstrates genuine care and builds strong relationships with students, enabling effective conversations and positive engagement.

We are very fortunate to have her as a part of our Northam Campus Team.

Year 12 Top Campuses Northam & Albany - supported by Mrs McLuskie

Well done to our Year 12 students, who achieved the highest results in their Accelerate program!

OSG Accelerate program is an amazing opportunity for our senior students to continue developing and perfecting life-ready skills, which are a huge advantage not only in our personal lives but also at any workplace.

This semester, our Year 12s acquired skills and practiced such important components as "Humility" and "Leadership".

Excellent work and keep it up!
