Update from the Campus Principal

What a brilliant (and slightly soggy) way to finish the term, with both our Primary and Secondary Athletics Carnivals bringing plenty of energy, colour and competition. Despite the wet weather doing its best to test our resolve—and footwear—it certainly wasn’t enough to dampen spirits or enthusiasm.

While I wasn’t able to attend the Primary Carnival in person, I’ve heard nothing but glowing reports about the fun, determination and joyful chaos on display. However, one performance has made its way to my desk more times than any other. I am very proud (and mildly amused) to report that our very own Nambour Campus CA, Terry Parsons, claimed the prestigious “Fastest Dad” crown in the 50‑metre dash. Let’s just say the students weren’t the only ones showing off their speed on the day!

A huge Thank you to Terry, who attended both carnivals, setting up, packing up, and handing out food and drinks throughout the day.

Over the past week, we were pleased to welcome Mr Paul Maher and Mr Tom Percasky to our campus as part of our CQR Day. Both visitors were highly impressed with the Nambour Campus, particularly the way our primary and secondary students go about their day and confidently articulate their learning.

I would also like to sincerely thank the parents who attended the parent session and took the time to provide valuable feedback to Mr Maher, Mr Percasky and myself. Your engagement and support are greatly appreciated.

I wish everyone a blessed and relaxing Easter holiday break. May our staff and students return refreshed, re‑energised and ready to take on Term 2. A reminder that Term 2 and Term 3 will commence with a later start time of 8:50am.

Mr Michael Knight.

Hello everyone,

We've made it to the last day!

Over the last 2 weeks we have been very busy completing assessments, taking part in athletics day, attending parent teacher interviews and having a French celebration.

Congratulations to Huntley who was crowned State Age Champion for Year 4 at Athletics. We had many winners in individual events, and we were proud of how well everyone participated and tried their best.

Last Friday, we had a surprise visit from Smart Pups. Many thanks to Akyrah and Mr Knight for making this happen. This visit was to tie in with the book 'Can You See Me' that the Year 5/6 had been reading. The Year 5/6 students wrote some very persuasive letters to Mr Knight about having a therapy dog in school. Ivy's is included below.

Today for our last day we held a French celebration. The children have been learning about French festivals. We brought something from each festival in for the day and shared it with High School. We had crepes and maple syrup, songs and drumming, mask making, lemonade and lemon sculptures.

I hope everyone has a lovely Easter break and I will see you all next term.

Mrs Katie Steele.
