We’ve certainly been enjoying the lovely change in weather, even as the weeks continue to fly by! It has been a very busy time at our CMP site, with lots of action and activity taking place across all year levels.

Our Year 7–10 students are working hard to complete assignments and are beginning to prepare for their upcoming exams. It has been fantastic to see such excellent behaviour from all students, with a strong focus on learning and a positive approach to their studies.

As exams approach in Week 8, you may notice your child feeling a little more anxious. This is a natural part of the process, and there are simple ways you can support them at home to build confidence and manage stress:

Encourage regular sleep routines to help with focus and wellbeing

Help them break study into manageable chunks with short breaks

Support the creation of a simple study plan to stay organised

Remind them to stay active and get fresh air each day

Offer reassurance and celebrate effort, not just results

With the right support and preparation, students can approach exams feeling calm, confident, and ready to do their best.

On Thursday we held our first campus assembly for the term, well done to our award winners

During Weeks 1–5, students have been learning about matter. Over the past few weeks, we have conducted a range of engaging experiments focusing on liquids and gases. One highlight was a boat race experiment, where students designed boats using water bottles and straws, then used Vitamin C tablets to propel them and observe how far they travelled. Students also observed a volcano experiment, combining vinegar, dish soap, baking soda, and water to create an exciting eruption. These hands-on activities have been highly enjoyable and helped deepen students’ understanding of scientific concepts.

During mathematics lessons, students have been focusing on developing their times table knowledge. As part of this, they have created engaging and practical learning tools to support their practice. Using an A5 piece of paper, students folded the sides inwards and divided each section into six parts. They then recorded their multiplication facts on one side, with the corresponding answers on the reverse. The opposite side was used to represent the related division facts. This hands-on activity was highly enjoyable and helped students build a clearer understanding of the connection between multiplication and division.(insert photos)

Students should be bringing in their diaries every day and they should be reading for a minimum of 10 minutes a day at home.

We kickstarted our Jump Rope For Heart Fundraiser in the primary this week. All students are encouraged to collecting donations. If your have not registered your child yet, please do by following the instructions Dally Primary Jump Rope For Heart
