CP Update
Semester 2 Academic Focus
As part of our Campus Strategic Plan, a key focus for Semester 2 is improving student achievement through increased Grade Point Average (GPA) results and greater participation in tutorials and learning support opportunities.
To support this, students have access to a range of incentives that encourage engagement, effort, and academic growth. All Secondary students have also been allocated a mentor teacher who will meet with them at scheduled times throughout the semester to review progress, set goals, identify action items, and monitor their success.
Secondary student goals and action plans will be emailed to parents on Monday, 17 August. We encourage families to review these goals with their child and provide ongoing support, as strong outcomes are achieved when students, parents, and teachers work together in partnership.
A similar goal-setting and mentoring process will be introduced in the Primary classroom following the completion of MAP Growth Testing, ensuring goals are informed by current student data and learning needs.
Parking Reminder
A friendly reminder that when visiting the campus, please park only in the designated parking bays. This helps ensure the safety of our students, staff, and visitors, and allows traffic to flow smoothly during busy drop-off, pick-up, and visitor times.
Road Safety – Helmets and Crossing Road Basics
It is wonderful to see so many students riding their bikes and scooters to school. The safety of our students is extremely important to us, and we ask parents to ensure their child wears a properly fitted helmet every time they ride. We also encourage parents to discuss and reinforce basic road safety rules with their child, particularly when crossing roads, to help ensure they travel to and from school safely
Helping Hands
We are excited to introduce our new Helping Hands Program , which will be running throughout this semester in our Primary classroom.
The Helping Hands Program provides a wonderful opportunity for parents and grandparents to become involved in our students' learning. Whether assisting with classroom activities, listening to students read, or supporting special projects, your involvement helps create a rich and rewarding learning environment for our children.
To ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate, parents and grandparents will be individually invited to attend weekly sessions approximately two weeks in advance . Please keep an eye on your emails for your invitation and further details about what is involved
We value the partnership between home and school and look forward to welcoming many of you into the Primary room throughout the semester. Your time, support, and encouragement make a meaningful difference to our students.
Thank you for being such an important part of our school community. We look forward to seeing you in the Primary room soon!
