Week 9 & 10 Achievements

In Week 9, our Students of The Week were Hugo and Angeline! Well done to you both for being great Team Players. Hugo has shown himself to be a Team Player in both the yard and the classroom by ensuring things are always fair and playing by the rules. Angeline has also been a fantastic Team Plater this year. She supports her peers and offers guidance whenever asked. She frequently takes time out of her day to help and encourage others in a positive way.

Congratulations also to Crusoe, Claire, Donovan and Vittori from our Primary LC and Angeline, Dargo, Lucia, and Wilhelmina from our Secondary LC who in Week 9 were all commended for their fantastic Study Plans.

In Week 10, our Students of The Week were Louis and Earl and for demonstrating great Diligence. Congratulations! Louis has shown outstanding Diligence this week by completing his work to a high standard and actively seeking feedback to improve his content while generously supporting others. Earl was recognised for his Diligence because has been working very hard this term. He participates in class and ensures that his work is being submitted on time. He remains diligent in his approach to study and class work. Well done Louis and Earl!

Year 8 French Take the Crown in Regional Education Perfect Competition

At the end of last year, all Year 7 French classes across Australia took part in a nationwide Education Perfect competition, answering questions based on the content they had learned throughout the year. It quickly turned into a nail‑biting race, with our class locked in a friendly back‑and‑forth battle with a very determined Year 7 group in Perth.

I may (or may not) have applied just a little motivational pressure to my students—now Year 8 French across Bairnsdale, Bendigo, Hamilton, Nathalia and Swan Hill—and they rose to the challenge brilliantly. Everyone contributed, everyone put in the effort, and together they powered their way to first place. It was a fantastic team achievement, and they should be incredibly proud of themselves. I certainly am.

Their coveted prize was a pizza party. It had taken a little while to organise—long enough that a few students had jokingly suggested they were being scammed—but I’m delighted that the celebration has now finally taken place and our hard working students got to enjoy the reward they earned.

Well done, Year 8 French! Your teamwork and persistence made this achievement something to celebrate.

Cluster Athletics Day 2026

On Friday March 27th, our students and staff travelled to the Swan Hill OSG Campus for the Cluster Athletics Day. It was a beautiful, sunny day and our students had an amazing time participating in all the activities throughout the day with their peers from other campuses. Well done to the Green Lions for being the winning team on Friday. A special congratulations to our own Ava, Charlie and Wilson; Ava was crowned Integrity Champion of the day, and Charlie and Wilson took home the Age Group Champion titles. Our students were outstanding all day and showcased amazing sportsmanship.

Mission Nutrition

Mission Nutrition is coming to our campus

On 22 May, all students at OneSchool Global will take part in Mission Nutrition, a full day wellbeing event delivered across all campuses worldwide.

Mission Nutrition helps students understand how food and hydration support energy, focus, health, and learning. The day is interactive and age appropriate, with students working through guided activities led by their teachers.

This is not a normal school day. Students will take part in hands on learning designed to build practical skills they can use at school and at home.

To introduce the event and build excitement, we invite families to watch a short teaser video.

Watch the Mission Nutrition teaser video below:

More information will be shared with families in May, including what students will experience on the day.

Mission Nutrition is part of OneSchool Global’s focus on student wellbeing and life skills learning.
