Update from the Campus Principal

Update From the Campus Principal Albury 2026 T3 W2

Staff Announcement

Mrs Claire Cooper has resigned from her position at OneSchool Global Albury to pursue further career opportunities and personal interests. Claire made a valued contribution to the school through her teaching of English and HSIE as well as her involvement in the Assignment Design process. We thank Claire for her dedicated service over the past 11 years and wish her every success in her future endeavours. Thank you to Mrs Kristie Gurney for stepping into a casual position to cover Claire’s timetable.

Winter Evening

Thank you for your patience while we organised the best date for the Winter Evening, which is now confirmed for Thursday 20 August at 6:00 pm. We are hoping for 100% attendance and will present data-driven outcomes and expectations while making the evening enjoyable with fun games, Food Technology student cooking, and an update on proposed building works and how students will continue to learn whilst construction is taking place over the next six months.

Campus Principal Day

Thank you for the lovely gifts and words of gratitude from the staff and students today. As we celebrate Global Campus Principal Day, I am reminded of the privilege of working at OSG in this position and acknowledge the support of students, staff, parents, and the community. Thank you!

AI Student Update

A lot of work is going on behind the scenes to ensure a fun and interactive AI Day for the students in the coming weeks. AI has changed the way students respond to tasks, from instant homework help and personalised study quizzes to language translation and creative brainstorming tools. AI is becoming a digital assistant in the modern classroom. While it offers exciting ways for students to understand tough topics faster, it also means parents and teachers must guide children to use it as a tool for learning rather than a shortcut for doing the thinking for them. More information will follow on how OSG will approach this exciting but challenging development in IT.

Campus Support Team

Previously known as Campus Administration, the recent restructure now consists of a newly appointed Campus Support Team (CST). For our campus, the only real change is the position description, as most previous CA members have remained.

Natalie Mayberry Introduction

Hi there! My name is Nat and I am looking forward to joining the OSG team in the coming weeks. My background in education has predominately been working with students with disabilities in specialist and mainstream school settings. I am looking forward to working with the OSG community to support everyone in their knowledge of Braille, Orientation and Mobility, and assistive technology. Outside of school, you can often find me outdoors exploring with my dog Saffy and dabbling in photography.

Bee School & Burke Museum Excursion

Despite the chilly weather, Primary students enjoyed a wonderful day exploring Beechworth. At Bee School, students discovered the important role bees play in our environment, explored how honey is made, and sampled a variety of delicious honey flavours. We look forward to building on this experience as we continue our sustainability and bee inquiry this term.

At the Burke Museum, students stepped back in time to explore the history of Beechworth during the Gold Rush and learn about the people who helped shape the town and its rich heritage.

A big thank you to Mrs Brooke Horsfall for joining us and assisting throughout the day. We also had two special guests join our adventure – Flat Stanley and Flat Stacey! Travelling between OneSchool campuses, they surprised us with a visit and enjoyed learning all about bees and Beechworth alongside our students.

Flexischools - NEW Canteen Ordering System

We are excited to announce that our school canteen will soon be transitioning to Flexischools , our new online ordering and payment solution for families.

Flexischools will be introduced at our campus on Monday 10th August .

Why are we making this change?

Flexischools is a trusted school ordering platform used by more than 2,000 schools across Australia. Their platform offers:

  • Easy and efficient online ordering
  • Secure cashless payments
  • Convenient account management
  • A streamlined experience for families
  • Reduced reliance on cash transactions

Once Flexischools is live, you’ll be able to place canteen orders and make payments via their website or dedicated app. If you currently use another canteen ordering provider, we will provide instructions on how to deactivate your existing account and transition to Flexischools.

Next steps

Over the coming weeks, we will provide you with:

  • Instructions on how to create your Flexischools account
  • Information on how to place orders through the platform
  • Support materials and guides

We look forward to introducing Flexischools and will keep you updated as we move closer to launch.

Thank you for your support as we make this exciting improvement to our canteen service.
